Shipping Charges

We at NursingUnifroms.ie are back from the summer holidays and are very busy with people ordering nurses uniforms and lab coats for autumn.

Lab coats are in demand right now and this brings us to the subject of transport costs.

All of our postage up until now, for orders placed on the website, has been shipped   by An Post. Recently they have been increasing the cost of parcel post to such an extent that, we have now decided to use a courier service to ship parcels where 3 or more garments are ordered.

There are 2 major differences between the post office parcel delivery service and courier delivery.

1. Small parcels send by An Post cannot be tracked and are delivered without a signature. An Post is of comparable cost  to courier up to 2 garments.
Once we send 3 or more garments it becomes cheaper to send by courier.

2. The other major difference is that An Post will deliver the parcel even if nobody is at the delivery address. Courier on the other hand always need a signature so as proof of delivery can be established.

The cost of shipping to the customer will now be capped at €6.50 for all deliveries regardless of quantity (within reason).

NursingUnifroms.ie hopes that this change will be an improvement in service to our customers.

We continually strive to supply best quality nurses uniforms, lab coats, white coats and chef’s jackets at the cheapest possible prices.

Embroidery

It is becoming more commonplace for healthcare professionals to have Embroidery on their uniforms. Embroidery can set a uniform apart as well as simplifying for co workers ward, floor or departmental belonging. Some hospitals even insist that nurses uniforms are embroidered, a service which Nursinguniforms.ie can provide.

Many clinics, pharmacies and surgeries, as part of their identity, also like to have a name or staff position on uniforms.

Nursinguniforms.ie provides an embroidery service to customers at a very reasonable charge. We are often asked to do this and typically embroidered garments are shipped within 10 working days of ordering. A wide range of colours is on offer. We have however, found that there are only five or so colours which suit the uniform colour when made up. Customers are of course free to choose what they feel is best for their needs.

Typically customers will call to discuss their embroidery requirements and we can advise as to what style of nurse’s uniform is best suited to the various text fonts on offer.

Maternity Uniforms

One question which keep reoccurring is the question of what to wear when pregnancy occurs. We get regular email and phone calls asking us for advice as to what style and size should be purchased and worn.

From experience we know what will be best suited for nursing staff who want to continue working throughout pregnancy. We generally find that if an individual takes for example a size 12 then after some time clothing will become “too small”.

How can we overcome this little problem?

A uniform 1 size bigger from under the arms is the answer.  As regards style, it is best to keep it simple and stick with the more generous fitting uniforms.  We realise that customers find our styles T04 and T05 to be the most comfortable when made a size bigger from under the arms.

Nursing Dresses as regards maternity wear are not very practical as movement room is more restricted. We have found over the years that scrub tops are the more preferred choice.

Customers can always call us regarding maternity uniforms and we at NursingUniforms.ie are more than happy to answer any questions that occur.
